Massage therapy has long been known to reduce stress and help ease aching muscles. Now, the Preferred Pain Center in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced it is offering free 30 minute massages to new customers who want to feel better, especially during the holiday season.
The center said the free massages will be performed by a professional with massage therapy training who is licensed in the state of Arizona. Massage therapy has been proven to also help alleviate a number of physical ailments, including back and neck pain.
Preferred Pain said that potential clients who experience lower back pain or whiplash should seek treatment immediately. The clinic also is offering a 24-hour guarantee that customers will be able to make an appointment and start their rehabilitation, which often includes massage therapy, within one business day.
According to the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders, seven out of every 10 people will endure some type of back pain at some time in their lives.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment opportunities for those who have completed massage therapy training are expected to grow faster that the average of most other occupations, by 19 percent, through the end of the decade.
