Leinco Technologies has plans to expand its facility in St Louis County, which will create 48 new jobs, according to St. Louis Today. The company was given more than $1.5 million in tax credits and other incentives that helped persuade it to stay in place, after Leinco was planning to move to Florida.
The company is currently operating out of a 10,000 square foot facility, it plans to eventually move to a 27,000 space that was once occupied by a supplier to a Chrysler assembly plant.
There are high hopes for the technology industry in terms of employment, as some see it as one of the major job creators of the future. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the sector will increase in employment opportunities by 17 percent.
