Many individuals are choosing to enter into information technology (IT) training, because they have heard that the sector is expected to grow tremendously over the next few years.
The Washington Post reports that the technology sector is one of the fastest growing industries in terms of job creation, as companies are looking to stay on top of their IT endeavors to prevent hackers from infiltrating their systems.
Training is key to get into the field, as analysts tell the news provider that it”s important to have a number of people on staff who know how the technology system works.
"Having people with the ability to understand how systems work and how they work together is becoming more and more important as the number of systems continue to grow," Edward Wilde, director of talent and learning for Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT), told the news provider.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the IT industry are expected to increase by 17 percent through 2018.
