While some individuals may enroll into automotive school with the hope of one day working for a car company, others may choose to incorporate their skills into other forms of transportation.
Talgo, a Spanish train manufacturer, will be opening a plant that creates high-speed trains in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to Milwaukee Public Radio. The train production will bring approximately 125 jobs to the area, boosting the economy as well as providing a fuel-efficient means of travel.
"These trains, when you all see them [you] will see," Wisconsin Governor, Jim Doyle, told the news provider. "They are fuel-efficient, they are fast. They are comfortable. They are the best modern passenger trains anywhere in the world."
As the government is pushing for eco-friendly creations, it may be a good idea for individuals in automotive school to focus their training on fuel-efficient building, as it may provide more jobs for them in the near future.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in manufacturing continued to increase in February, with an additional 1,000 workers finding jobs.
